Voting Information
Voting Date
Election day is October 26, 2026. Voters can vote on election day, at advance voting locations (to be released later) or by mail-in voting (registration between September 1 and 24).
Voting Eligiblity
You are eligible to vote if you are:
a Canadian citizen; and
at least 18 years old; and
a resident in the city of Toronto; or
a non-resident of Toronto, but you or your spouse own or rent property in Toronto; and
not prohibited from voting under any law.
Students
If you are a Toronto resident, but are studying in another Ontario municipality, you may be eligible to vote in both municipal elections.

Identification
Voters do not require photo ID, only identification showing name and qualifying Toronto address (e.g., driver’s license, utility bill etc).
